You said that my salvation would be the result of  the Holy Spirit giving me new birth by coming to live in me and that if I would ask, you would fill me with your Spirit and give me the ability to speak in other tongues.

I take you at your word:  I confess that Jesus Christ is your son and is Lord.  I believe that He died and you raised him from the dead.  Father God, please forgive me of my sins from the past--I'm sorry.  Thank you for coming into my heart, for giving me your Holy Spirit, as you promised, and for being Lord over my life. Amen.

One Drop of Blood

God hates sin but loves the sinner.  Noteable words aren't they? But oh so true!

What is sin? The dictionary defines sin as:
–noun
1. transgression of divine law: the sin of Adam.
2. any act regarded as such a transgression, especially a willful or deliberate violation of some religious or moral principle.
3. any reprehensible or regrettable action, behavior, lapse, etc.; great fault or offense: It's a sin to waste time
  –verb (used without object)
4. to commit a sinful  act.

5. to offend against a principle, standard, etc.
–verb (used with object)
6. to commit or perform sinfully: He sinned his crimes without compunction.
7. to bring, drive, etc., by sinning: He sinned his soul to perdition.
So where does sin come from?
Let's go back to the Ten Commandments (previous blog entry).  God orginally created the commandments (law) and gave them to Moses to give to the Israelites (and now the Gentiles--you and me, through Jesus Christ),

Once an individual breaks from these commandments (principles, standards) to God's expressed will, the act of the break becomes sin.  

What about evil ideas?  Ideas populating in the mind come from either God, You, or even Satan.

The Bible, specifically, in the Book of John, Jesus states: 
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
And in this passage, the Bible states:

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of  love, and of a sound mind.
In John 10:10 Satan is the thief, and in 2 Timothy 1:7 Satan is originator of the spirit of fear. So when ideas become confused or convoluted/twisted, then Satan is at work.
Wrong ideas can sometimes filter into our thoughts but it's the entertaining of these ideas and then carrying out these thought out sinful ideas, that an individual falls. 

I say all of this because I, today, read an article regarding christian musician Ray Boltz and his divorce from his wife. His announcement of coming out as a homosexual.  I'd had this man of  God in my spirit lately but I didn't know why.  Now I understand.  I was so confused over this situation that I had to write down my own thoughts on the subject.

God's will uses scriptures to set up boundaries regarding human sexual expression.  There are restrictions that limit sexual activity.

I sincerely admire Ray Boltz and his God given gift of music.  I sincerely believe he was and continues to be intensely annointed to sing gospel.   However, I also, believe he is in a fierce battle over his professed lifestyle.

I do not believe that someone who is this spiritually gifted is now no longer a christian?? No. However, Mr.Boltz has chosen to walk down a path that he deems fit for him at this stage of his life. 



About homosexuality...the bible states:

Leviticus 18:
22Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination
Leviticus 20:
13If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. 
1 Corinthians 6:
 9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind...

I do not condone homosexuality.  I also believe in the Word of the Lord that states: 


John 13:34
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.


It's because I care about Ray Boltz and his music that I write to say PRAY for RAY BOLTZ that the Lord opens his blind eyes and delivers him from homosexuality.


Mr. Boltz cannot do it on his own.  He needs the Blood of the Lamb to cover him and his mind.

Revelation 12:

11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Wild, isn't it?  Both videos were created by Mr. Boltz based on the Word of  the Lord.  Very prophetic!  Now Mr. Boltz needs powerful intercessors on his behalf even if he doesn't know it for himself!

Revelation 1
5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.  17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
 18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. 

I am unwilling to allow Mr. Boltz' soul and spirit be bound by the enemy!

The Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments were created by God and instructed  to Moses (meaning "Drawn Out"), the Hebrew Prophet, in approximately 1400 BC, in Mount Sinai, Israel,  are listed in the Book of Exodus 20:1-17 and renewed in Exodus 34:1:



"And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tablets of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tablets the words that were in the first tablets, which thou brakest."

God created two granite Stone Tablets containing the now familiar Ten Commandments.

The dictionary defines commandment as a mandate or an order from a commanding authority (synonyms: precept,   order,  rule, edict).

Jesus confirms these now timeless principles in Matthew 5:21-37.

The Ten Commandments primary focus:
  • to demonstrate God's hand over his special people (the Israelites) and now you and me (the Gentiles)
  • to protect 
  • to practice peace
  • to bestow God's blessings
  • to demonstrate what is acceptable to God
  • to reflect obedience to God's expressed will

In two Books of the Bible, Deuteronomy and Psalms, are listed references to these commandments:

Deuteronomy 6:25
25And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

Deuteronomy 28:8
8The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Psalms 19:8
8The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Psalms 119:66
66Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.

We are commanded to follow these commandments that have been set up by God--standards by which we live. We must have order for without standards we would be drowning in chaos.  Standards are meant to help us not destroy us.

Praise God that Moses was obedient!  Imagine God's hand extending out to write on these tablets of stone:







I.
Thou shall have no other
God before me

You shall not make other Idols

III.
You shall not misuse
the name of the Lord your God
IV.
Observe the Sabbath Day by
keeping it holy

V.
Honor your Father
and your Mother

VI.
You shall not Murder

VII.
You shall not
commit adultery
VIII.
You shall not steal

IX.
You shall not give false testimony against
your neighbor
X.
You shall not covet your neighbor's wife 



The first four commandments honor our relationship to God.  The following six commandments honor our relationship to people.

Our forefathers, had the wisdom to acknowledge the Ten Commandments in public buildings and now...government striking down the Ten Commandments from public buildings under the disguise of "government and the separation of state"?

Please Lord God, forgive them; they know not what they do.
 


One more thing, in Proverbs 3:
1My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

Length of days, long life, and peace.  These are benefits that God will bestow those who believe and follow in His son, Jesus Christ.  Well worth the investment, I believe, don't you?


Does your home have the Ten Commandments prominently displayed for the younger generation to learn that the value of the Ten Commandments is our way of  life?

Do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?  Do you know him personally?  If not, and you wish to know him personally, pray this prayer of salvation:
