One Drop of Blood

God hates sin but loves the sinner.  Noteable words aren't they? But oh so true!

What is sin? The dictionary defines sin as:
–noun
1. transgression of divine law: the sin of Adam.
2. any act regarded as such a transgression, especially a willful or deliberate violation of some religious or moral principle.
3. any reprehensible or regrettable action, behavior, lapse, etc.; great fault or offense: It's a sin to waste time
  –verb (used without object)
4. to commit a sinful  act.

5. to offend against a principle, standard, etc.
–verb (used with object)
6. to commit or perform sinfully: He sinned his crimes without compunction.
7. to bring, drive, etc., by sinning: He sinned his soul to perdition.
So where does sin come from?
Let's go back to the Ten Commandments (previous blog entry).  God orginally created the commandments (law) and gave them to Moses to give to the Israelites (and now the Gentiles--you and me, through Jesus Christ),

Once an individual breaks from these commandments (principles, standards) to God's expressed will, the act of the break becomes sin.  

What about evil ideas?  Ideas populating in the mind come from either God, You, or even Satan.

The Bible, specifically, in the Book of John, Jesus states: 
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
And in this passage, the Bible states:

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of  love, and of a sound mind.
In John 10:10 Satan is the thief, and in 2 Timothy 1:7 Satan is originator of the spirit of fear. So when ideas become confused or convoluted/twisted, then Satan is at work.
Wrong ideas can sometimes filter into our thoughts but it's the entertaining of these ideas and then carrying out these thought out sinful ideas, that an individual falls. 

I say all of this because I, today, read an article regarding christian musician Ray Boltz and his divorce from his wife. His announcement of coming out as a homosexual.  I'd had this man of  God in my spirit lately but I didn't know why.  Now I understand.  I was so confused over this situation that I had to write down my own thoughts on the subject.

God's will uses scriptures to set up boundaries regarding human sexual expression.  There are restrictions that limit sexual activity.

I sincerely admire Ray Boltz and his God given gift of music.  I sincerely believe he was and continues to be intensely annointed to sing gospel.   However, I also, believe he is in a fierce battle over his professed lifestyle.

I do not believe that someone who is this spiritually gifted is now no longer a christian?? No. However, Mr.Boltz has chosen to walk down a path that he deems fit for him at this stage of his life. 



About homosexuality...the bible states:

Leviticus 18:
22Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination
Leviticus 20:
13If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. 
1 Corinthians 6:
 9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind...

I do not condone homosexuality.  I also believe in the Word of the Lord that states: 


John 13:34
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.


It's because I care about Ray Boltz and his music that I write to say PRAY for RAY BOLTZ that the Lord opens his blind eyes and delivers him from homosexuality.


Mr. Boltz cannot do it on his own.  He needs the Blood of the Lamb to cover him and his mind.

Revelation 12:

11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Wild, isn't it?  Both videos were created by Mr. Boltz based on the Word of  the Lord.  Very prophetic!  Now Mr. Boltz needs powerful intercessors on his behalf even if he doesn't know it for himself!

Revelation 1
5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.  17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
 18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. 

I am unwilling to allow Mr. Boltz' soul and spirit be bound by the enemy!

Heavenly Father:  I come to your throne of  Grace, Splendor, and Majesty  in the name of Jesus Christ.  Your Word says that "whosoever shall call on the name of  the Lord, shall be saved" and "if thou shall confess with thy mouth, the name of  the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thy heart, that He died and that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

You said that my salvation would be the result of  the Holy Spirit giving me new birth by coming to live in me and that if I would ask, you would fill me with your Spirit and give me the ability to speak in other tongues.

I take you at your word:  I confess that Jesus Christ is your son and is Lord.  I believe that He died and you raised him from the dead.  Father God, please forgive me of my sins from the past--I'm sorry.  Thank you for coming into my heart, for giving me your Holy Spirit, as you promised, and for being Lord over my life. Amen.
